1. "Judge blocks controversial Miss. pardons"
Mississippi's former governor, Haley Barbour, chose to use one of this final acts of power as a way to release more than 200 prisoners, including some convicted killers. Mississippi residents are outraged, especially the families of the killer's victims, but one judge has temporarily blocked the release of 21 of them.

2. "People's Choice Awards 2012: Katy Perry, 'Harry Potter' win big"
Despite not being present at last nights People's Choice Awards, singer Katy Perry won the most awards by bringing home 5 titles. Harry Potter followed in close second with 4 awards.

3. "U.S. Marines to probe alleged urination video"
A video has recently surfaced which supposedly depicts Marines urinating on the bodies of dead members of the Taliban. The US Marine Corps intends to fully investigate this video.
