Texas 8th grader Jaime Gonzalez walked into his middle school, punched a kid in the nose, and pulled out a pellet gun with the appearance of a handgun. When the police showed up, the 15 year old pointed the gun at them and refused to lower it. He was shot and killed by police.

2. "Okla. mom Sarah McKinley won't face charges for shooting intruder"
In Oklahoma on New Years Eve, an 18 year old mother shot a 24 year old man attempting to forcefully enter her home. Oklahoma state law allows for use of deadly force when defending against an intruder, so she won't be charged with killing him. The man's accomplice, however, is being charged with first degree murder for committing the crime of burglary which resulted in his friend being killed.
